Chalgren Enterprises’ disposable detachable monopolar needle electrodes for EMG feature a PTFE coated stainless steel needle. Each package includes two of Chalgren’s 251-24TP* reusable .61 meter super-flexible leadwires ending with a touch proof connector.

Intended Use

Chalgren’s disposable needle electrode is part of a system for detecting and recording bioelectrical activity of muscles for the diagnosis of functional impairment resulting from nerve injuries/disorders or from myogenic diseases as part of electromyography (EMG) examinations. This product is not intended for use as a stimulating needle.

Sterilization

Device is DISPOSABLE and SINGLE USE ONLY and supplied in a STERILE pouch sterilized by gamma irradiation. DO NOT REUSE or RESTERILIZE. Reuse and resterlization compromises the safety and efficacy of device. Do not use if pouch is damaged, opened or beyond expiration date.

Lifetime

3 years from sterilization date. Refer to device packaging for expiration date.

Disposal

Use of this device may expose operator to bloodborne pathogens. After use, treat device as hazardous waste material and dispose of accordingly. To avoid injuries, do not attempt to reinsert used needle into protective sheath.
